Paul Bax began his training in Jeet Kune Do in 1986 with Kym Huie but his interest in Bruce Lee began in high school after viewing, "The Chinese Connection". His fascination with Lee and Jeet Kune Do has led him to become a renowned historian on not only "the little dragon" but also his students from all eras of his instruction. He was once the editor and publisher of the newsletter, "The Jun Fan Journal" and has published the following books: Disciples of the Dragon, Descendents of the Dragon and Reflections of Bruce Lee (out of print). After being first published in Inside Karate's April/1993 issue, he has continued to have his interviews and or articles published over the last 15 years in Black Belt and Inside Kung Fu magazines. He recently made a pilgrimmage to see Bruce Lee's third student, Skip Ellsworth to support a special "Gung Fu Work Shop" to help funding for the under privileged kids in the Philippines. Recognized as a co-founder of the Jeet Kune Do Health and Humanatarian Hospital, Bax was recently invited as a special guest along with Lee's original student, Ted Wong to attend the opening of the official JKD Hospital in Nepal. His organization, The JKD Brotherhood (www.thejkdbrotherhood.com) continues to be a driving force in JKD for information and discussion about the art of Jeet Kune Do.
